The year is 3025 and the galaxy is trapped in a cycle of perpetual war, fought by noble houses with enormous, mechanized combat vehicles called BattleMechs. Take command of your own mercenary outfit of `Mechs and the MechWarriors that pilot them, struggling to stay afloat as you find yourself drawn into a brutal interstellar civil war. BattleTech is a turn-based strategy combat game in which you take command of a unit of giant combat mechs in a futuristic universe. Although there have been many games set in the universe of the classic board game, this one is closest in spirit, if not in actual mechanics, to the tabletop game that started it all.
The BattleTech board game simulates combat between various military vehicles in the thirty-first century. The king of the battlefield is the BattleMech, but a myriad of other military units bring additional fun to any game, from combat vehicles to infantry to aerospace units and more.
More Than A Game
BattleTech is much more than a board game as presented in the BattleTech Introductory Box Set. Vibrant, strong and still growing after twenty years, the fictional universe and the valiant struggles of its dynamic human characters, set against a far-future battlefield, has endeared it to millions of fans and will continue to do so into the future.
